Awarded to a single parent with legal custody and financial responsibility for at least one minor child. Enrollment in at least 3 credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. The JCCC Scholarship application, and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required. 
 

Awarded to students seeking a degree in Political Science, History, or International Studies. Consideration is given first to Johnson County residents. Enrollment in 12 or more credit hours and a 2.5 GPA or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application, the FAFSA  and the admissions application are required.
 

Awarded to graduating high school seniors, new, and/or continuing JCCC students who are a Kansas resident, degree-seeking, enrolled in at least 9 credit hours, and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admission application, and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are required.

Awarded to a student focusing in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), criminal justice, economics, business law or medicine. Consideration is given first to a non-traditional female student. Enrollment in 12 or more credit hours at JCCC and a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admission application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are required.

Awarded to students enrolled in at least 12 credit hours in the Hotel & Lodging Management program wtih a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The JCCC admissions application, and the JCCC scholarship application are required.

Awarded to a student who has been accepted into the JCCC Paralegal Program through the Selective Admissions process, with a 3.5 GPA or higher for all completed paralegal courses. Completion of 12 or more credit hours of paralegal classes by the time the scholarship is awarded is also required. The JCCC Scholarship Application, and the JCCC Admissions Application are required. 

Awarded to a second-year Dental Hygiene student with two semesters completed in the program required for consideration along with enrollment in at least 6 credit hours and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Daily evaluations and review of work will be used to demonstrate professionalism and movement towards successful completion of the program. Dental Hygiene faculty determines the recipient.  The JCCC scholarship application and JCCC admissions application are required. 

Awarded to graduating high school seniors, new or continuing JCCC students who are enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admission application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are required.

Awarded to a JCCC student that is working with JCCC Access Services. Student must have a minimum grade point average of 2.0. The JCCC Scholarship Application and the JCCC admission application are required. Access Services staff will recommend the recipient based on a list of students provided to them who match the requirements.  

Awarding scholarship to JCCC Automotive Technology Students.  Minimum 2.0+ GPA, enrolled in a minimum of 6+ hours and residency of Kansas, KC Metro or Missouri.  Must be enrolled in JCCC Automotive Technology certificate or AA degree program.  JCCC scholarship application is required.

Awarded to Students of GEHS Fire Science program taken through College Now Credits.  Continuing on through Fire Administration at JCCC.  Fire courses include:  Fire Academy course, EMR-EMT Changing, EMT, Fire Administration Cert., and AAS.  Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a resident of Johnson County and a graduate from Gardner Edgerton High School who have taken the JCCC Fire Science College Now credits. The current academic year JCCC Scholarship Application, and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be completed to be considered.

Scholarship will be selected on both need and merit basis.  Recipient must be degree-seeking and enrolled in 6 or more credit hours at JCCC, have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher with no residency restrictions. The FAFSA,  JCCC Scholarship Application and Admissions Application are required.  Preference will be given to a single parent with dependent children.

Awarded to a graduate of Gardner-Edgerton, DeSoto, or Spring Hill High Schools with a 2.0 GPA or higher. Scholarship assists with tuition only with no excess funds to the student. The JCCC scholarship application, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)and JCCC admission application are required.

Awarded to students pursuing a degree in Sociology with enrollment of at least 12 credit hours and a 3.0 GPA or higher required. The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admissions application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Theatre scholarships are based on talent auditions or portfolio review and the student's willingness to contribute to theatrical productions. Student must be enrolled in a 9 or more credit hours, enroll in at least one theatre course, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded through a selection committee process to a declared Interior Merchandising student, who is enrolled in or has completed 15 ITMD/DRAF hours. Student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher. This is a juried scholarship based on talent, design ability, motivation, and academic performance. Applicants are required to submit a design project in compliance with design criteria. The students must write a brief statement as to why they should be selected to receive the scholarship award. The Bill Bailey scholarship application, two letters of recommendation and verification of grade point average by transcript or certified enrollment are required for consideration, in addition to the JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application.

Awarded to graduating high school seniors or new and continuing JCCC students whose intentions are to transfer to a four-year institution of higher learning in pursuit of a bachelor's degree or higher. A Johnson County resident, enrolled in at least 12 credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Scholarship assists with tuition only with no excess funds to the student. The JCCC scholarship and admissions applications are required.

The student must participate in BizFest, a career fair presented by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in February and present their business plan on the last day of the event. The student must maintain a 2.5 grade point average and be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours each semester. 

To apply, complete the JCCC Scholarship Application to match up with this scholarship. Once opened, the supplemental BizFest application will appear in your scholarship portal. Complete the application and provide all documentation by the stated deadline. A scholarship selection committee reviews the applications and determines the recipients.  
 

Awarded to high school students, new or previously enrolled college students pursuing degrees in the JCCC Engineering or Industrial Technology Programs. Successful completion of 9 college credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Funds are used for tuition and books and no excess funds are awarded to the student. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions applications are required.

Awarded to US citizens or permanent residents enrolled in Computer Aided Drafting and Design Technology AAS beginning a two year program and to second year students in Electrical Technology AAS.  Students are encouraged to enroll in/complete DRAF 130/DRAF 230 within their respective program of study. Enrollment of 12 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.75 each semester are also required.  Requirements must be met in Fall to receive Spring portion.

If awarded the scholarship, be actively engaged in events hosted by Black & Veatch:

• Meet 1:1 with assigned Black & Veatch Mentor (minimum 2 in-person or virtual meetings per semester)
• Attend all official Black & Veatch events hosted by Black & Veatch
• Participate in at least one job shadowing session with a Black & Veatch professional
• Apply to and be willing to participate in exclusive paid summer internships with Black & Veatch (apply September of 1st year to intern summer before 2nd year)
• Apply to a full-time position with Black and Veatch in September in final year of degree program for potential employment after graduation. 

Funds awarded are used for tuition and books/supplies if applicable.  Scholarship is provided in the Fall and Spring only.  The JCCC Scholarship application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required. 
 

Awarded to officers of the JCCC Veterans Club. 

Awarded to students who have completed at least one semester in the American Sign Language Studies Certificate program at JCCC. Involvement in community and/or leadership must be demonstrated. Enrollment in six or more credit hours and 3.5 GPA or higher are required. Preference will be given to second-year students in the program. The JCCC admissions application, JCCC scholarship application, and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded to a Johnson County resident enrolled in the Criminal Justice program. Enrollment in at least 12 hours at JCCC and a 2.5 GPA or higher is also required. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admission application are required.

Awarded to a student enrolled in the Criminal Justice program and seeking a career in law enforcement.  Student should be enrolled in at least 6 hours and a GPA of at least 2.5.  No Residency restriction.  The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admission application, and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded to a student enrolled in the Automotive Technology program. Enrollment in at least 6 hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admission application are required.

Awarded to a student who has completed Math 120 (Business Math) within the last three years or is currently enrolled in that course, has a GPA of 2.5 or higher and a Business Math grade of B or higher. The JCCC scholarship application, and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required. 

Awarded to students who are Business Office Technology students with financial need.  Enrollment of 6+ hours and a GPA of 2.0+ are required.  The JCCC Scholarship Application, and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Awarded to students who plan to major in mathematics or math education and are enrolled in at least one math class. Enrollment in 12 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.5 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded to students who are changing careers, returning to work or updating work skills. Enrollment in 6 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. Students must be over the age of 25 and degree seeking in the following degree or certificate programs:
 

• Degree programs in Accounting, Business Administration, Administrative Assistant, Administrative Assistant with Legal Emphasis or Administrative Assistant with Medical Emphasis.
• Certificate programs in Bookkeeping Entrepreneurship, Tax Preparation, Supervision Management, Administrative Support Specialist, Business Administrative Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant or Medical Transcription.

Awarded to students whose educational goal is an associate degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems or Technology through one of the following academic areas:
 

• Accounting, Banking, Finance, Business Entrepreneurship, Business Office Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, Economics, Marketing or Management

Enrollment in 12 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. Students will reside in the Greater Kansas City Metro Area, Emporia, Lawrence, Salina or Wichita. The JCCC scholarship application, the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Consideration is given to full-time and part-time students who have been admitted to the nursing program and are enrolled in the ADN program. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Consideration is given to full-time and part-time students who have been admitted to the nursing program and are enrolled in the ADN Program. Student must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours at JCCC.  The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admissions application, and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) required.

Awarded to students that meet the following criteria:
(1) first generation students who are the first in their families to seek a postsecondary education, or (2) students who are the children of undocumented persons, who were brought to the United States when they were young, and who are pursuing the American Dream of higher education, or (3) beleaguered students, meaning those students who face extraordinary challenges that threaten their ability to pursue higher education.

• Degree-seeking and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
• Cumulative 2.5 GPA 
• Consideration may also be given to qualifying high school students to enroll in JCCC College Now courses. 

Awarded to students who are officially accepted to study for credit in one of the JCCC Study Abroad programs. Scholarship is awarded only for the semester in which the student is studying abroad. The Scholarship is not provided for any on-campus study. Students must submit a written application which can be found in the International Education/Study Abroad office. A minimum grade point average of 2.5 is required. Preference is given to students who demonstrate financial need. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Awarded to students who are taking or have taken College Alegbra (Math 171), enrolled in 12 or more credit hours with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The JCCC Scholarship Application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Student must be degree or certificate seeking and currently enrolled full time (12 hours) in the Food and Beverage Management, Hotel/Lodging Management or Chef Apprentice program. Student must show financial need and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. The JCCC scholarship application the JCCC admission application and the FAFSA are required.

High School students that graduate with a minimum GPA of 3.25 and have a JCCC admissions application, submitted a 7th semester high school transcript (December grades), picked a degree major, and completed the JCCC scholarship application before April 1 for the fall semester are guaranteed at least $1,000 in JCCC scholarships. Enrollment at JCCC must begin the fall semester immediately following high school graduation (direct matriculates) and students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at JCCC.  The scholarship will pay $500 in the fall semester and $500 for the spring semester. Students must make satisfactory academic progress (SAP) during the fall semester to receive the spring portion of the award.  (SAP means 2.0 GPA with 67% completion). Students must be degree seeking to receive the funds. Students must be Johnson County residents. Home schooled students residing in Johnson County are also eligible. This scholarship is intended to provide a minimum amount of scholarships students can receive at Johnson County Community College. It is not stackable with other JCCC Scholarships, therefore the most beneficial scholarship will be awarded.

Awarded to a first time JCCC student who has participated in one or a combination of College Now or Quick Step classes during high school and be a high school graduate or its equivalency. Enrollment in 12 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.5 or higher is required. This is a non-renewable one-year scholarship opportunity. Scholarship assists with tuition only with no excess funds to the student. The JCCC scholarship application is required. 

Awarded to students who demonstrate community involvement/volunteerism and/or extra-curricular college service. A Kansas resident with enrollment in 12 or more credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admission application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Awarded to a student in the Construction Management Program who has completed 24 hours of college. The potential recipient needs to demonstrate an interest in construction, design, specifications and contractual documents. Enrollment in 12 or more credit hours per semester and a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. If students meet the above criteria, an email is sent through their JCCC student email with instructions to complete and submit an additional application which requires a letter of recommendation from at least one faculty member. A selection committee will review and determine the recipient. Upon acceptance by the KCCSI Foundation, the recipient will be acknowledged in the monthly Chapter Newsletter and will be invited to attend a Chapter meeting as a guest of the Chapter. The JCCC Scholarship application and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.  

Awarded to students seeking a degree or certificate in Construction Management. Enrollment in at least 3 credit hours and a GPA of 2.5 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application and JCCC Admissions application are required.

Awarded to students in the Chef's Apprenticeship Program. Enrollment of at least 1 credit hour and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA are required.

Students will have children enrolled at the Hiersteiner Child Development Center between the ages of 12 months and walking and 6 years of age. Child(ren) must be enrolled for a 5 day/full day care for each semester they receive this grant. Parents attendance is required at a pre-semester orientation as well as two parenting skills workshops and parent-teacher conferences. Students must complete the FAFSA and be Pell eligible to establish income status. Enrollment in 9 or more credit hours each semester, a GPA of 2.0 or higher, meeting satisfactory academic progress (SAP) and having less than 95 hours of completed coursework is required. Students must complete the JCCC scholarship application to be further considered.

Awarded to JCCC students who are enrolled in a STEM program with preference to Math and a second preference to military service.  A 3.0+ GPA and enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours is required.  The JCCC Scholarship application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application are required.  

JCCC Faculty nominates students that are determined to learn, engaged with school, and have a desire to better themselves and their career. Students must attend class regularly, contribute to the learning experience, have enrollment of 6 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.75 or higher. The Clay Blair Family Scholarship nomination form is returned to the JCCC Foundation by the nominator, reviewed by a committee and recipients are chosen and notified through their JCCC student email to complete the JCCC scholarship application and the online thank you letter process before the funds will be made available to them.

Awarded to degree or certificate seeking students enrolled in either Food and Beverage Management, Hotel/Lodging Management or Chef Apprenticeship programs. Enrollment of at least 6 credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admission application, and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded to students that receive a "C" in Math 116 or English 106 and will move on to College Algebra and Comp I. Student is encouraged to take a Success Strategies Class and this class will be paid for. This 1 hour strategies class will assist the student to be successful in College Algebra or Comp 1. The cost for this class will be covered at $94 (or the current in county tuition rate). Letters are sent to students regarding this opportunity. Math is COLL 174 and English is COLL 176. The student would be concurrently enrolled in the corresponding Math or English class in the same semester. The JCCC scholarship application is required. 

Preference is given to a student enrolled in JCCC Graphic Design courses, but can be awarded to any student with financial need as determined by JCCC's Financial Aid Department and completion of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Enrollment in 6 credits and a GPA of 2.0 is required. JCCC Scholarship Application must also be completed. 

Recipient must be a current member of the Culinary Team in good academic standing. The Culinary Team sponsor provides the names of the awardees. Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.

Awarded to degree or certificate seeking students enrolled in the Food and Beverage Management, Hotel/Lodging Management or Chef Apprenticeship programs Enrollment of at least 6 hours and a GPA of 2.2 or higher is required. The JCCC Scholarship application, the admissions application and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded to graduating high school seniors and to new or continuing JCCC students. A Johnson County resident enrolled in at least 12 credit hours and a 2.0 GPA or higher is required. The JCCC Scholarship application, FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), and the JCCC admissions application are required. 

Supporting Communities of Northwest Kansas, the Dane G. Hansen Foundation was established in 1965. The Foundation awards grants and scholarhsips every year to qualify recipients in Northwest Kansas who demonstrate a strong desire for community improvement.

Awarded to a second-year student majoring in Accounting. A GPA of 3.0 or higher in their first year of study is required.  The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admission application, and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are required.

Awarded to degree and certificate seeking students enrolled in the Chef Apprenticeship program. Enrollment of at least 11 credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. The JCCC Scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded to JCCC students who are residents of the KC Metro area.  Student needs to be enrolled in 6+ credit hours with a minimum 2.0+ GPA.  The JCCC Scholarship application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application are required.  Students who meet this criteria will be given the opportunity to complete an additional application.  This application will include an essay, which requests examples of how the applicant has demonstrated leadership and community services in their life and to state their educational and professional goals.

Awarded to a first-year dental hygiene student at JCCC. At the end of the fall semester, a recipient will be chosen and receive the first award in spring. If student remains eligible and in good standing, an additional award will be made in the fall of the second year. A GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. Daily evaluations and review of work will be used to demonstrate professionalism and movement towards successful completion of the program. In addition, student is an active member of SADHA.  The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Awarded to a second year student in the JCCC Dental Hygiene program. All first-year dental hygiene students will be provided with a scholarship application to apply during the second semester of the program. Completion of two semesters in the Dental Hygiene program, enrollment in 10 or more credit hours, and a GPA average of 2.75 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

 

Awarded to a member of the JCCC Baseball team that graduated from a high school in the KC Metro area. Cumulative GPA must be 3.5 or higher.

This scholarship supports JCCC students who were in the Foster Care System; preference given to those students who aged out of the Foster Care System at age 18. Minimum GPA of 2.5 and 12 or more hours of enrollment required. Student must be a resident of Kansas or KC Metro area. Scholarship is for JCCC tuition and books. The JCCC Scholarship Application and FASFA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Scholarship is renewable for a second year if the student applies by the April 1 priority deadline, continues to meet the above requirements, and stays continuously enrolled at JCCC.

Awarded to instrumental and vocal music students with talent. Must have a 2.0 GPA or higher. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admission application are required. Selection is based on audition and enrollment in selected program of study as established with a faculty adviser.

Awarded to a student who has been accepted into the JCCC Paralegal Program through the Selective Admissions Process with a 3.5 GPA or above for all completed paralegal courses. Completion of 12 or more credit hours of paralegal classes when scholarship is awarded is required. The JCCC scholarship application, FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and the JCCC admissions application are required.  

Students will be accepted in the ADN program at JCCC. Preference will be given to students from Louisburg, Kansas and/or Drexel, Missouri areas who has a 2.0 GPA or higher. The JCCC scholarship application, and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Awarded to one student (fall semester) who is enrolled in AVHO 104 (Certified Medication Aide class) with a JCCC GPA of 2.0. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required. 

The student applies through the Ellis Foundation for the initial scholarship. JCCC will match the Ellis Foundation funding. Enrollment at JCCC of 12 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.5 or higher is required. Student will receive an email to JCCC student email to complete the online thank you process required for the JCCC matching portion.The JCCC admissions application, JCCC Scholarship application and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

To be considered for this award, the student has completed a reading course (either RDG 126 or RDG 127) and a mathematics course with a C or higher. The mathematics course can be any MATH course, OR even a one-credit-hour, self-paced math course in the Academic Achievement Center (AAC 112 Basic Math Review or AAC 113 Algebra Preparation). The student also must be in good standing at JCCC, with enrollment of 6 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The student must have an educational goal (declared major, certificate program, or transfer goal to a four-year institution). The JCCC admissions application, the JCCC Scholarship Application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required. 

Awarded to high school graduates or previously enrolled college students in one of the Engineering Programs. Completion of 14 college credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Scholarship assists with tuition only with no excess funds to the student. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Awarded to high school graduates or continuing college students enrolled in the HVAC program. Completion of 6 or more college credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Scholarship assists with tuition only with no excess funds to the student. The JCCC general scholarship application and the JCCC admission application are required.

Awarded to students who are enrolled in the Fashion Merchandising programs and are active in program activities. A variety of activities and events involving student participation will have scholarship funds awarded throughout the year from this fund. A GPA fo 2.5 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Awarded to Johnson County residents, enrolled in 6 or more credit hours with a 2.0 GPA or higher. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Scholarship assists with tuition only with no excess funds to the student. The JCCC scholarship application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Book Scholarship for First Year President's scholarship recipients. Currently pays for books/supplies purchased at the JCCC bookstore at $600/year ($300 per semester).

Johnson County high school students, home schooled students, and GED graduates who are Johnson County residents with a high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher will be considered for the JCCC President's Scholarship. One student  from each Johnson County High School, Homeschooled and GED students will be chosen. A 7th semester transcript is required to verify GPA (evaluated on a 4.0 scale) AND student must be fully admitted with a degree major on file at JCCC by April 1 to be eligible.  If awarded, enrollment in 12 or more credit hours at JCCC for each semester attending is required. To be considered for spring semester continuation, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA and again have full-time enrollment. Enrollment at JCCC must begin the fall semester after high school graduation or GED is received. The scholarship will be renewable for a 2nd year with continued full time enrollment and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The scholarship pays for only 12 hours each semester plus a book scholarship currently at $300 per semester. Students must complete and submit the JCCC Scholarship Application with a GPA and degree major on file Before April 1 to be considered.

Students will have MFAB or RRIT as their declared major and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admission application and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded to a student who is a declared music major with a strong interest in jazz and who plans to transfer to a four-year school. Student must have completed two consecutive semesters at JCCC as a full-time student and be a performing member of at least two jazz ensembles. Student will have completed Music Theory I and II and Ear Training/Sight Singing I and II with a minimum grade of B, as well as demonstrate leadership qualities as determined by the faculty and have completed a two-year academic plan that includes Jazz Improvisation I and II. A GPA of 3.2 or higher is also required. Selection is based on audition and enrollment in a selected program of study as established with a faculty adviser. The JCCC scholarship and admissions applications are required.

Awarded to students who are officially accepted to the study for credit in one of the JCCC Study Abroad programs. Student must submit the written application found in the International Education/Study Abroad office to be considered. Scholarship is awarded only for the semester in which the student is studying abroad and is not awarded for any on-campus study. Student must have completed 12 hours of credit courses at JCCC and achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Recipient must be willing to meet with the donor upon his/her return from the country of study. Preference is given to students who demonstrate financial need.  The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student) are required.

Awarded to students who are degree seeking and enrolled in at least one history class each semester at JCCC. Enrollment in 6 or more credit hours and a 3.0 GPA or higher is also required.
Students meeting the criteria above will be notified to complete an additional application after September 1. In the supplemental application, students will provide a brief (one-page essay) statement explaining their interest in History as well as contact information of at least one professor from whom they have taken a College History class. The application deadline will be September 15 for the current academic year. A selection committee will review the applications in mid- to late-September and present awards. Scholarship awards will normally be divided between fall and spring semesters, and awarded by semester. Students will receive the spring portion of the award, if they continue to meet the scholarship criteria listed above. The JCCC Scholarship Application is required.
 

Awarded to a student with a declared Fashion Merchandising/Design major and involved with departmental/program  activities. Enrollment in 12 or more credit hours each semester and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. The JCCC admissions application and the JCCC scholarship application are required.

Awarded to students seeking a degree- or certificate-seeking program in one of the following areas of emphasis:  Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Automation Engineer Technology, Engineering, Computer Programming or Software Development.  Preference will be given to students from groups that are historically under-represented in the applicable area(s) of emphasis set forth above.  Student needs to be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours with a minimum 2.5 GPA.  The JCCC Scholarship application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application are required.

Awarded to students enrolled in the Graphic Design program. Enrollment in nine credits of GDES degree courses for both Fall and Spring semesters with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher is required. The  JCCC Scholarship application is required. Once completed students can then complete the additional application with portofolio submission for full consideration by the selection committee. 

Consideration is given to students who have completed their GED through JCAE (Johnson County Adult Education) at JCCC. Students will be a Kansas resident, working towards an associate's degree or vocational certificate at JCCC, be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours and have a 2.0 GPA or higher. To receive this scholarship, Chemistry must be a requirement in the student's course of study while enrolled at JCCC. The applicant must either be a Japanese student studying at JCCC or an American student enrolled in JCCC courses with significant Japanese content. Awarded to assist students who are eligible for the Veterans Administration's Chapter 35 Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA) Program with financial need. Each scholarship, to be used for JCCC tuition costs not covered by other financial assistance, will be a minimum of $1,000 per year per recipient. Enrollment of 6 hours and a GPA of 2.0 are required. The Johnson County Adult Education (JCAE) Advancing Newcomers Careers Scholarship is intended to support students who have completed one English Language class at JCAE.  Students receiving this scholarship must have an educational goal of completing an Associate’s degree or vocational certificate at Johnson County Community College (JCCC).   The scholarship is renewable for one semester at JCCC during current academic year based on eligibility.

Who’s Eligible:

• Students who completed one year of English language classes at Johnson County Adult Education.
• Students who have completed the ESL Accuplacer test. 
• Residents of the Kansas City Metropolitan area.

How to Apply:

• Submit a JCCC Admission Application
• Complete the primary JCCC Scholarship Application.  (log into your MYJCCC account)
• Complete and submit the JCAE Advancing Newcomer Careers supplemental scholarship application, including responding to essay questions.
• Request a letter of recommendation from their JCAE instructor.

Requirements:

• Complete the ESL Accuplacer test and obtain a composite score of 89 or higher. This score places into Level III English for Academic Purposes.
• Have an educational goal of completing an associate degree or vocational certificate at JCCC.
• Attend the JCAE GED graduation ceremony to accept the scholarship.
• Enroll at JCCC in the fall semester following the graduation ceremony. 
• Enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester beginning with the following fall semester following graduation.

JCCC offers a scholarship for students who have completed their GED through JCCC's Johnson County Adult Education (JCAE) program. Students meeting application deadlines and entering JCCC within 12 months after completing their GED are guaranteed to receive a $600 scholarship!

Requirements:

• Enrollment at JCCC must begin within 12 months of receiving your GED through JCAE.
• Complete the JCCC Scholarship Application by August 1st for the fall semester enrollment and January 1st for spring semester enrollment.
• Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
• Be working toward a declared degree or certificate.

The scholarship will pay $300 in the fall or first semester and $300 in the spring or second semester. Students must make satisfactory academic program (SAP) during the first semester to receive the second semester portion (SAP means 2.0 GPA with 67% completion). 

The JCAE College Guarantee Scholarship is non-renewable. 

Awarded to graduating high school seniors and to new or continuing JCCC students who are residents of Kansas with preference given to residents of Johnson County. Student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours. Applicants must demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA. The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded to graduating high school seniors and to new or continuing JCCC students who are Kansas residents with preference given to residents of Johnson County. A cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and enrollment in a minimum of 6 credit hours are required. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Awarded to a current JCCC bookstore staff. Recipient must be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours at JCCC and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 better. The JCCC scholarship application and admission application are required.  

This scholarship is awarded to students who are pursuing a degree in the area of Business.
Applicants must have successfully completed ECON 230 and MATH 171. Students must be enrolled in or successfully completed ECON 231 and ACCT 122. Student must be enrolled in 12 or more hours at JCCC and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

If you meet the criteria listed above and wish to be considered for the scholarship, you must first complete the JCCC Scholarship Application.  After the priority deadline, this supplemental application will appear in your scholarship portal.  Complete the application and provide all documentation by the stated deadline.  

The JCCC Business Scholarship application will require upload of a resume, a personal narrative (maximum 300 words) describing educational and professional goals, and one letter of recommendation from either an academic or professional contact.

The JCCC Scholarship Application and the admissions application are required. Recipients are expected to meet with a JCCC Success Coach three times per semester. 

Awarded to a current non-probationary JCCC Dining Services employee. Student must have a 2.0 GPA or higher and majoring in any field of study. The JCCC scholarship application, and the JCCC admission application are required.

The Book portion of the Faculty and Staff scholarship which allows $150 per semester towards books/supplies purchased in the JCCC Bookstore. Funds are loaded on student ID card.

Awarded to students whose career and personal goals are to serve their community, and to support life-long learning through teaching, counseling, library science, educational administration, early childhood education, interpreter training, social work, psychology, or other social service/educational careers. Student must demonstrate relevant school or professional activities, community involvement, and/or leadership experience. Enrollment in 6 or more credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 are required. Tuition up to 15 hours will be covered plus $150/semester for books. Scholarship assists with tuition only with no excess funds to the student. Scholarship is renewable to previous recipients. The JCCC Scholarship Application and the JCCC admissions application are required. 

This scholarship is awarded to a students with an exceptional record of leadership and volunteerism.

For consideration, students must be degree seeking, enrolled full time (12 hours or more) and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Applicants must demonstrate leadership in an educational, political or professional environment as well as a volunteer involvement. Students who meet the criteria will be given the opportunity to complete a supplemental application during the application timeframe. This application will include an essay, which requests examples of how the applicant has demonstrated leadership in their life and to state their educational and professional goals. The JCCC Scholarship Application is required.  

A book scholarship for students enrolled in 6 or more hours. Recipient must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher. Scholarship application required.

Theater scholarships are based on talent auditions or portfolio review and the student's willingness to contribute to theatrical productions. Recipient must be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours at JCCC and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. The JCCC Scholarship Application and admissions application are required.

This scholarship is designed to assist veterans who are re-entering to the workforce or higher education after being discharged from active duty or deployment. Funding is available to veterans who have been discharged before the 1st day of classes of the semester they plan to enroll at JCCC. A 2.5 GPA or higher and enrollment in 9 or more credit hours is required. This is a Book/Supplies Scholarship Only - After the online thank you process is completed, funds are loaded to the student's JCCC ID card and can be used in the JCCC bookstore for books/supplies during that semester. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

This scholarship is awarded to JCCC International and Immigrant students who are not eligible for financial aid, have strong academic records and whose goals are to serve their community and demonstrate relevant institutional/community engagement. To eligible for this scholarship, international and immigrant students must:
 

• have completed a minimum of one semester at JCCC
• be degree seeking
• be currently enrolled full-time at JCCC and
• have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

 
This is a one-time scholarship meaning students may not reapply for the scholarship if they have received it before at JCCC.

As part of the application for the JCCC International and Immigrant Students Services Scholarship you will need to: 
 
A. Prepare essay like answers for questions that relate to: (1). Your education and professional goals; (2) The reason you believe you deserve the scholarship; (3) A description of your JCCC campus and/or community involvement; (4) Your contributions and leadership experience; and (5) How JCCC has contributed to your educational and professional goals.

B. Provide the name and email of two references to whom emails will be sent asking them to provide information on how they know you and why they feel you are deserving of the scholarship. One reference must be a professor/supervisor who is willing to recommend you for this scholarship. The other reference must be the supervisor or a person who oversees your involvement experience.

C. Upload a copy of unofficial transcripts (including GPA) from all US colleges and universities attended.

Awarded by audition through Student Activities. Auditions are held and student is chosen to attend sporting events, JCCC events, etc. Student must be enrolled full-time to receive the scholarship. The scholarship is awarded at the end of fall semester and spring semester. PAVE is an opportunity to build and share resources with incoming veteran students to ease their transition into college life and help pave the way to success. This scholarship has been developed to reward the activities that will help ensure the success of this program.  1. Complete initial PAVE training within required timeframes. 2. Complete all required outreach activities. 3. Attend required number of PAVE events. The PAVE team leader will document completion metrics to ensure that PAVE advisors meet the requirements of the scholarship criteria.  This scholarship will be $500 per semester each year, awarded twice in the fall semester and twice in the spring semester

This scholarship can be awarded fall, spring & summer terms - twice each semester and award amounts per student could vary. 

Awarded to participants on the JCCC Quiz Bowl Team. Quiz Bowl is an academic team who competes in an interscholastic battle of the whits. During the competition, teams compete head-2-head to answer qestions from all areas, including: Science, Mathematics, History, Pop Culture, Fine Arts, and more. Eligiblity criteria includes:
 

• Enrollment of at least 12 hours
• GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Completed no more than 90 college credit hours
• Does not have a college degree
• Available to commit 2 hours of practice time per week 
• Available to compete in some weekend tournaments

Awarded to a first generation college student who has financial need, is degree seeking, enrolled in 6 or more credit hours, and has a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The JCCC Scholarship application, the admissions application and the FAFSA are required. 

Awarded to first generation with consideration first to minority students. Amounts can vary from year to year. Students must be degree seeking, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. To be further considered, students who meet the requirements above based on their answers on the JCCC scholarship application, will have an opportunity to be considered by completing the additional Sunflower Grant application within their scholarship portal. Deadline to apply is June 1. Financial Aid will award based on the criteria above and completion of both the JCCC scholarship application and the additional application for the academic year in which the award is being given.
This scholarship can be renewable for a second year if students apply by the April 1 priority deadline, continue attending JCCC, and meet the above criteria. 

Awarded to students with an EFC of  5001 or higher.  Student must be enrolled in 6 or more hours and have a 2.0 GPA or higher. The amount may vary from year to year.
 

Awarded to graduating high school seniors, new or continuing JCCC students who are enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.  Recipients will be selected on the basis of Financial Need.  The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admission application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are required.

Student must be degree or certificiate seeking and enrolled in 6 credit hours of either the Beverage Management, Hotel/Lodging Management, or Chef Apprenticeship programs. Student must maintain a 2.2 GPA or higher and show financial need. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded to Student Managers of an Athletic Team who have a 2.5 GPA or higher. Students must demonstrate need by completion of the FAFSA. Scholarship Application, Admission Application and FAFSA required. 

The Johnson County Adult Education (JCAE) Honors Scholarship is intended to support students who have completed preparation for the GED exam at JCAE and have successfully passed the GED exam at a college-ready + credit level.  Students receiving this scholarship must have an educational goal of completing an associate degree or vocational certificate at Johnson County Community College (JCCC).  The scholarship provides up to $1,200 in the first semester and is renewable for one semester at JCCC during the current academic year based on eligibility. The maximum award per semester of $1,200 is based on enrollment in 12 credit hours. Scholarship awards will be prorated if total enrollment is less than 12 credit hours. 

Who’s Eligible:
 

• Students who have completed preparation for the GED exam at JCAE.
• Student passed the GED exam with an average score of 165 or higher.
• Residents of the Kansas City Metropolitan area.

Awarded to a graduate of any Johnson County High School with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Consideration will be given first to students interested in pursuing a degree in Education and becoming teachers. The JCCC scholarship application and JCCC admission application are required.

Awarded to provide financial assistance to JCCC student veterans for the purchase of course-required books. Enrollment of at least 6 credit hours and a 2.5 GPA is required. The Scholarship application, Admissions Application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) needs completion to be considered. 

This scholarship is awarded to a students with an exceptional record of leadership and volunteerism.

Applicants pursuing a degree/certificate in the following areas will be considered: Administration of Justice Program, Education or Political Science. Recipient will be involved in two of the following areas: Extracurricular Activities / Community Service / Leadership in an Educational, Political or Professional environment / Served, or are serving in the U.S. Military or Spouse has or is serving in the U.S. Military / Student Senate Officer.

Enrollment in 12 credit hours and a GPA of 3.5 or higher is required. Students who meet the criteria will be given the opportunity to complete a supplemental application during the application timeframe. In this application, the student must submit a one-page narrative of their educational & professional goals and the reason they feel they deserve the award. Applicant will be required to provide two letters of reference - one from an academic contact and one from a professional or volunteer contact. The JCCC Scholarship Application is required.  Scholarship deadline is May 15.

Awarded to graduating high school seniors, new, and continuing JCCC students pursuing a degree in Education with financial need. Enrollment in 6 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.5 or higher is required. JCCC scholarship applcation, admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Consideration is given to full-time and part-time students who have been admitted to the nursing program and are enrolled in the ADN program with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Awarded to Apparel Design and Technology majors within the Fashion Merchandising program. Enrollment of at least 9 credit hours and a 3.0 GPA or higher are required. Applications are available in the Fashion Merchandising and Design office and are awarded by the department near the end of the spring semester. 

Awarded to students pursuing a course of study in Architecture, HVAC, Interior Design, Civil Engineering Technology, Appraisal, or Construction Management. Consideration is given to students who are relatives of a Realtor or a member of the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors. Enrollment in 12 or more credit hours and a 2.0 GPA or higher is also required. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

This scholarship is available to local high school seniors who are named Kansas CTE Scholars by the State of Kansas.  The JCCC Foundation works with the Olathe School District currently, and potentially other area districts in the future, to identify local students who have received this honor. 

Information will be sent to the high school counselors at their school with instructions to return the information to the  JCCC Foundation, stating their intent to enroll and attend JCCC the following fall after high school graduation. Students must complete the JCCC Scholarship application.  JCCC Foundation will work with Financial Aid/Scholarships Office to monitor when the students have completed enrollment in order to award the scholarship funds. Enrollment of 6 or more credit hours per awarded semester and a GPA of 2.5 or higher are required to be considered. Tuition will pay up to 15 credit hours along with $300/semester for books. The scholarship is renewable for a second year if the student applies by the April 1 priority deadline, continues to meet the above requirements, and stays continuously enrolled at JCCC. 

This scholarship is last dollar for institutional aid and cannot pay excess to student.
 

Awarded to a second year JCCC Dental Hygiene student with financial need and a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Daily evaluations and review of work will be used to demonstrate professionalism and movement towards successful completion of the program. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Consideration is given to students pursuing a degree in accounting and who have successfully completed 30 hours at JCCC including 12 hours of ACCT courses. Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 10 or more credit hours at JCCC and have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admission application, and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded to students beginning any of the following JCCC Industrial Technology associate and certificate programs: Construction Management, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, HVAC, Plumbing, Automation Engineering Technology, & Welding/Metal Fabrication. Student must be a public high school graduate or recipient of their GED. Enrollment in 12 or more credit hours and a 2.5 GPA at the end of the first semester to receive the funds in the next term. JCCC Scholarship application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) required. 

Consideration will be given first to students who attended Overland Park Elementary School for two or more years. (Address of school: 8150 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Ks) and are 25 years of age or younger. Consideration will be given second to students enrolled in the JCCC Nursing program who are 30 years old or younger. Students will be Kansas residents and have financial need. Enrollment in 12 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is also required. Scholarship assists with tuition only with no excess funds to the student. The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admission application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Consideration is given to full-time and part-time students who have been admitted to the Practical Nursing program at JCCC. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and have financial need. The JCCC scholarship application and the FAFSA(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Awarded to JCCC students who are studying Japanese. Completion of Elementary II level Japanese or higher is required before starting the study abroad program. Students must be officially accepted to the JCCC Study Abroad Program in Japan for credit for a full semester. Enrollment in 6 or more hours and a 3.0 GPA are required along with living in the KC Metro area. The application to apply for this scholarship can be found in the International Education Office, COM 220. This Scholarship is awarded only for the semester in which the student is studying abroad.  A written essay stating their goals of studying in Japan as well as Japanese study background must be included. The International Education/Study Abroad office will share with the donor information of the recipient(s). After completing the Study Abroad program, recipient(s) must submit a minimum of a one page essay to the Study Abroad/International Education office stating which goals they achieved, their best experiences, how their experiences influenced their future plans or goals, etc. along with a few photos.  The JCCC Scholarship Application and  FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

 

KC BizFest offers high school sophomores, juniors and seniors in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area an opportunity to learn a variety of life skills and business techniques. The majority of KC BizFest participants come from the emerging Latino Community. During a four-day intensive training period, KC BizFest focuses on helping students (a) turn hobbies and skills into profit-making ventures; (b) establish entrepreneurial and leadership goals; (c) create plans for business and life; and (d) become effective leaders and team players. Additionally, students learn the art of networking in business environments; identifying investment opportunities; implementing money management skills; and making public presentations. By attending KC BizFest, students gain entrepreneurial experience, economic literacy, improved skills in math, reading, writing and verbal communication and they gain workforce readiness. During the event, students have access to adult mentors, who help them create feasible business plans.

Eligible students who plan to attend JCCC must complete the JCCC Scholarship application for the appropriate academic year and then will have an opportunity to complete the additional BizFest application.

The Kauffman Foundation is committed to supporting postsecondary achievement and opportunities for low- and modest-income students. Since 1988, the Foundation has provided college scholarships and support services to 3,900 students.

The mission of KC Scholars is to increase postsecondary education attainment in the greater Kansas City area. KC Scholars will provide the means – through scholarships, financial incentives to promote college savings, and support services – for low- and modest-income students and adults needing access to pursue and complete a postsecondary credit-bearing credential or degree. By doing so, KC Scholars will improve the educational attainment, economic independence, quality of the workforce, and participation in community activities in greater Kansas City.

KC Scholars serves a six-county area of the Kansas City region: Wyandotte and Johnson Counties in Kansas and Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte in Missouri. Awarded to students with a declared Graphic Design/Communication Design major. Enrollment of at least 6 credits each semster and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required along with succesful completion of GDES 130 & 131. The JCCC Scholarship Application is required. Once completed, then students will be asked to complete an additional application to include a portfolio submission of work to include GDES 130 & 131 drawings for full consideration by the selection committee. 

Scholarship created in memory of Kevin Gratton, long-time JCCC Science professor.  Awarded to students who are under-served, non-traditional students (not right out of high school) taking science (general education) classes.  A GPA of 2.0 or higher and enrollment of 6 or more credit hours are required,  Preference is given to students with need as determined by a completed FASFA.  The funds will assist with tuition, books, program needs, and childcare. Awarded to Kansas residents pursuing an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts degree at JCCC. Enrollment in 12 or more credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Awarded to students who have declared MFAB or RRIT as their major. The JCCC scholarship application, the admissions application and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Preference is given first to students accepted to the JCCC ADN program and who are also employees of nonprofit nursing homes, any other nursing homes, and then to any other nursing student. Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher. The JCCC scholarship application and JCCC admissions application are required.

The Kansas Promise Scholarship was created during the 2021 Kansas Legislative Session to assist students attending Kansas community colleges, technical colleges, Washburn Institute of Technology and certain private postsecondary educational institutions and enrolled in specified programs of study, generally in the fields of (1) information technology and security, (2) mental and physical health care, (3) advanced manufacturing and building trades, or (4) early childhood education and development. Your college also has one other eligible program area. Talk with your college about other eligible areas of study that may qualify for this scholarship. This scholarship may be used toward tuition, required fees, books, and required program materials. Your educational institution will determine the amount of your Promise Scholarship award based on information from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) along with other financial aid that you may be receiving. Awarded to a Kansas resident enrolled in the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology program. A GPA of 3.0 or higher and enrollment in 12 or more credit hours is required. Awarded to a student in fall and spring semesters who is enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours of Art classes. Total enrollment of 6 or more hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. There is no residency restriction and the funding is based on merit, not need. The JCCC admissions application and JCCC Scholarship Application are required. 

Awarded to students seeking a degree/certficate through JCCC's Cosmetology Program.  Enrollment in 6 or more hours and a minimum of 2.5 GPA are also required.  The JCCC Scholarship Application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Awarded to students who are single parents residing in Johnson County Kansas or the SMSA of Greater Kansas City which includes parts of eight counties in Missouri and Kansas City Kansas including Wyandotte County Kansas. This person should desire to increase his or her marketable skills in 1) business or computer curriculum or 2) the field of journalism which may include training in correct grammatical usage speech reporting editing and/or writing for publication or 3) the field of art or especially technology. The applicant must have a legitimate need for financial assistance and live within the above-mentioned areas for easy commuting. Enrollment in 6 or more credit hours and a 2.8 or higher is required. The applicant cannot be related to the Hudson family. The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admission application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Awarded to a student within the Graphic Design program who has successfully completed 9 hours of Graphic Design (GDES) courses. Preference will be given to a single parent with dependent children. Enrollment of at least 9 hours each semester with a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.  The JCCC Scholarship Application is required. Once completed, students will be asked to complete an additional application with a portfolio submission for full consideration by the selection committee.

Any fire/EMS student attending JCCC may apply at JCCC for funds to be used for educational purposes in connection with Fire Service or EMS education, as an enrolled student of JCCC.  The student must maintain a minimum 2.5+ GPA and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours.

Supplemental application is required and will be available during open application period in the JCCC Scholarship Portal.  Eligible candidates must have at least 12 credit hours of study completed at JCCC.  A personal statement describing your commitment to developing more sustainable communities and how this scholarship will help you to achieve your goals.  A letter from a teacher or mentor further illustrating your work towards a more sustainable future.  The JCCC Scholarship application, and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.  Recipients will be selected on the basis of Financial Need and Merit.

Awarded to first generation college students or single parents. Enrollment of 6 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.5 or higher is required. The JCCC Scholarship Application and the Admissions Application are required. 

Awarded by the JCCC Academic Advising/Counseling staff. A GPA of 2.0 or higher is required after 12 hours of coursework have been completed. Involvement in the community or school will be considered a plus but is not required. A letter of recommendation from a counselor or faculty member and a narrative of personal educational and professional goals not to exceed 300 words are also required. Consideration is given to full-time and part-time students who have been admitted and are enrolled in the ADN program in at least 6 or more hours and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissons application are required.

Awarded to a resident of Merriam Kansas, enrolled in 12 or more credit hours and with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Student must be an instrumental or vocal music student. Must have a 2.0 GPA. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admission application are required.

Awarded to students who will be pursuing a degree in the engineering field and have successfully completed two semesters of college (24 or more credit hours). A Kansas resident, with a GPA of 2.5 or higher is also required. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded to the winner of the Miss Johnson County pageant. Award is available for up to 64 continous credit hours.

Awarded to students in the Hospitality Management or Culinary Programs. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, be enrolled in 6 hours and have financial need based on the FAFSA. 

Participation in the Model UN Team or related activities required. Students will complete both the current year JCCC scholarship application and Model UN Team Scholarship application, where they will provide a brief narrative (300 words or less double-spaced and typed) stating their professional and personal goals, including the reason they need the scholarship and why they are interested in participating on the Model UN Team or related activities. Students will be degree seeking with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Award will cover tuition, books and/or program needs.

Awarded to a second year student in the Respiratory Care program. Enrollment in at least 12 credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher are required. The JCCC Scholarship application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Applicant must be accepted in the JCCC Mobile Intensive Care Technician (Paramedic) program successfully completed MICT I and be enrolled in MICT II. Scholarship is awarded for MICT III. Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 or more credit hours at JCCC and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The JCCC general scholarship application, the JCCC admission application, and the FAFSA are required.

Awarded to degree seeking students attending JCCC or students who plan to transfer to earn one of the following degree or transfer programs:

Students will live in the Kansas City Metro area. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Enrollment in 6 or more credit hours is required, 4 or more of the hours must be in an HPER class (any combination of 1-3 credit hour HPER classes to reach the 4 minimum hours will qualify). The scholarship will pay up to 15 hours of credit classes. The JCCC Scholarship application must be completed and if students meet all the requirements listed above, the additional application will appear in their scholarship portal for completion. Submission of this application includes an essay of personal and educational goals within one of the above fields of study.


 

Book Scholarship awarded along with Nell Mitchell scholarship 

Awarded to a KC Metro student enrolled in his or her third semester of any Industrial Technology program at JCCC. A GPA of 3.0 or higher and enrollment in 6 or more credit hours is required. The JCCC scholarship application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Awarded to a Johnson County resident enrolled in the Criminal Justice program and seeking a career in law enforcement. Student should be degree seeking, enrolled in 12 or more credits, and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Student will be working a part-time job while attending the Criminal Justice program at JCCC. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admission application, the 2022 Officer Donald B. Gamblin,  Jr. Law Enforcement Scholarship nomination form and the FAFSA are required. 

Consideration is given to full-time and part-time students who have been admitted to the Practical Nursing program and demonstrate financial need. Enrollment in at least 6 credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application. the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Awarded to a student enrolled in the Criminal Justice program with at least 9 Criminal Justice credit hours completed and a GPA of 2.5 or higher. JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admission application are required. 

The applicant must demonstrate exceptional campus involvement in their respective club(s) or organization(s). Must be a JCCC credit student assessed out-of-state/ international student tuition rate. Current members of Student Senate are INELIGIBLE. Must submit a 2 to 3 double-spaced essay describing campus involvement with examples and why they should receive the award. Student must submit one letter of recommendation from an advisor or member of a student organization in which the applicant is involved. Must submit a completed student organization membership verification form from each organization in which the student participates. Also must submit the Out-of-State/ International Involvement Award Application. Recipient must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better. Student may only receive the award once.

This award is available to full-time and part-time credit students. Nominations can come from faculty, staff, and students. The criteria for the award includes campus involvement, community involvement, volunteerism, personal and/or extenuating circumstances overcome, and scholastic achievement. Up to 10 awards are given in the SPRING semester and students are eligible to receive the award only once. Application forms are available at the Student Life office (COM 309). Student must be degree seeking and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours in Hospitality Management courses. Student must be a Kansas resident and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.2 or better is required. If a student meets academic progress the award can be for up to three years. Available to students who are accepted and/or enrolled in Dental Hygiene, who show financial need, and meet the eligibility criteria established by this program of study. Enrollment in at least 7 credit hours and a GPA of 2.5 or higher at JCCC is required. Awarded to a Phi Theta Kappa Member and/or Honor's Program Student with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. This will come as a recommendation by the Director of the Honor's Program.  

Preference is given to a first-time college student in the family, single parent and/or GED graduate. They must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher, be a US Citizen and must qualify for federal financial aid.. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA are required.

The scholarship is in honor of Professor Ginny Radom's contributions and dedication to students in Johnson County Community College's Practical Nursing Program.  The scholarship is designed to assist first-time incoming practical nursing students, who have been accepted into the Practical Nursing program.  Preference is given to students with need as determined by a completed FASFA. The Robert and Kathryn Sindt Family Scholarship supports students pursing a college degree in the area of game development and computer science. It is awarded to JCCC students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. There are no residency restrictions and the award is based on financial need. The scholarship will be awarded for tuition and books only with no excess to the student.  The JCCC Scholarship Application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.  

Awarded to students in Journalism and Media Communication who have completed or are currently enrolled in at least two Journalism classes. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed more Journalism courses or have worked in the JCCC Student News Center. The applicant must have a minimum "B" grade in Journalism courses and an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher. This scholarship is merit-based so the FAFSA is not required, but the JCCC Scholarship Application is. The application deadline is April 15. Funds will be awarded in the spring to use for the fall semester. The honorees may be invited to an event with the scholarship donors, JCCC Foundation officers and the JCCC Journalism faculty. All information below must be completed and submitted to be fully considered.

Awarded to a first-year dental hygiene student at JCCC who shows financial need. Consideration will be given first to a non-traditional student with children, prior dental assisting experience, who is a member of SADHA, and has community service involvement. A minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. At the end of the fall semester, the recipient is chosen and receives the first award in spring. If the student remains in good standing, an additional award will be made in the fall of their second year. Daily evaluations and review of work will be used to demonstrate professionalism and movement towards successful completion of the program. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required. 

Awarded to graduating high school seniors and to new or continuing JCCC students with enrollment of 6 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Consideration is given first to students with hearing challenges. The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Awarded to students residing in the Kansas City Metropolitan area who are seeking a degree in Industrial Technology. Enrollment in 6 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. Recipients will be selected on both merit and need so the JCCC scholarship application and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required. 

This departmental scholarship is available to any student currently enrolled in a minimum of one departmental Journalism course during the semester for which it will be awarded (internships are not included). The applicant must have a minimum “B” grade in the department’s course(s) on the day the scholarship is granted and complete the course with a minimum “B” final grade. Overall GPA for the semester must be a 2.0. Grades will be verified by the student’s professor(s). The scholarship is merit-based. It is not based upon financial need.

Preference is given to employees of Menorah or Saint Joseph's Medical Centers who are upgrading their skills and have been accepted and are enrolled in the ADN nursing program at JCCC. A 2.0 GPA or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application, and the JCCC admission application are required.

This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the JCCC Architecture Program and awarded for talent and promise in the study of architecture. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 and enrollment in a minimum of 6 credit hours at JCCC is required. Students must be degree seeking and have their high school diploma/transcript or GED on file with Admissions. The Architectural Talent Scholarship Application and a letter of recommendation from a JCCC architecture professor are required to receive this award. Students may apply each semester they are enrolled in the JCCC Architecture Program. The JCCC Scholarship Application and JCCC Admissions Application are also required.

Awarded to students enrolled in a program at JCCC that leads to an Associate's degree or certificate or a transfer program that leads to a bachelor's degree at another institution. Recipient must take at least one Fine Art or Photography class in the semester following receipt of the award. Applicants must submit 5 pieces of their own original artwork for evaluation and review. Enrollment in 6 or more credit hours and a 2.0 GPA is required. Student must have completed less than 64 credit hours at JCCC and must maintain satisfactory academic progress according to JCCC Financial Aid policy. Awards are given by Chair of the Department of Fine Arts, Photo & Film. The JCCC scholarship application and admissions application are required.

Awarded to students who are selected for the JCCC Dance Team. Tryouts for the dance team are held in the spring and students complete an audition application to be considered. Recipients must be available for practice Monday through Friday and must participate at all home men's and women's basketball games as well as other sports events if asked. Students must be fully admitted to JCCC, enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. Scholarship recommendations are provided by the Dance Team Coach and awards are made at the end of each semester in which the students participate.  

Scholarships are available to students who are seeking to participate in competitive debate at the college level. Students must be enrolled in the debate class, enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours and have a 2.5 or higher GPA. They must also be an active participant in the intercollegiate debate program and available to travel some weekends. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admission application are required. 

Awarded to students (majors and non-majors full-time and part-time) with a musical talent. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 is required. Instrumental and vocal music scholarships are based upon an audition and enrollment in a selected program of study as established with a faculty adviser. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Awarded to a students enrolled in a program that leads to an Associate's degree or certificate or a transfer program that leads to a bachelor's degree at another institution. Enrollment in 6 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. Recipient must take at least one Photography or Art class in the semester following receipt of the award. Student must have completed less than 64 credit hours at JCCC and must maintain satisfactory academic progress according to JCCC Financial Aid policy. Chair of the Department of Fine Arts, Photo & Film. The JCCC Scholarship Application and the Admissions Application are required.

Theater scholarships are based on talent auditions or portfolio reviews and a student's willingness to contribute to theatrical productions. All student's (major or non-major, full-time or part-time) with acting or technical talent are invited to apply. A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher is required and enrollment in 6 or more credit hours. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

This Book Scholarship is designed to pay for books only and assist veterans who are re-entering the workforce or higher education after being discharged from active duty or deployment. Enrollment in 6 or more credit hours at JCCC is required. Awards are made through the Veterans Office and funds are loaded onto the student's JCCC ID card for use only in the JCCC bookstore with no excess funds to the student. The JCCC scholarship application is required. 

This scholarship is designed to assist veterans who are re-entering the workforce or higher education after being discharged from active duty or deployment. The scholarship will be applied to tuition and book costs only. Any remaining funds available after paying tuition will be loaded onto the student's JCCC ID card for use with books/supplies in the JCCC bookstore with no excess cash to student. Awards are made through the Veterans office. The JCCC scholarship application is required. 

Awarded to students accepted and enrolled in the ADN nursing program who demonstrate financial need. A 2.0 or higher in nursing courses with satisfactory performance clinically is required. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Consideration is given to full-time and part-time students who have been accepted into and are enrolled in the ADN nursing program. Enrollment of 6 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.  

Recipient must be enrolled in pre-medicine or pre-veterinarian courses. Student must be a second-year full-time student who has demonstrated solid achievements in academic pursuits and contributions to community activities as well as extra-curricular activities. Must be a Kansas resident. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and enrollment in 12 or more credit hours is required. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admission application are required.

Continuing First Year President's scholarship recipients are eligible for this second year scholarship award. Enrollment of at least 12 credit hours and a continuing GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Students must complete and submit the JCCC Scholarship Application by April 1 to be considered for the second year funding. The scholarship pays for only 12 hours each semester with no excess funds to the student. A book scholarship is also available, currently at $300 per semester. Note: This scholarship is only available to the second year recipients if they are returning students and received the Presidents scholarship in their first year.

Consideration is given to full-time and part time students who have been accepted into program and are enrolled in the ADN nursing program. Enrollment in at least 6 credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Student must be a United States military veteran, demonstrate need, and have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher. This is a Book/Supplies Scholarship Only - After the online thank you process is completed, funds are loaded onto the student's JCCC ID card for use in the JCCC bookstore for books and supplies during that semester. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

JCCC STEM scholarships are awarded to students who want to pursue a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math and intend to transfer to a four-year institution. Students selected for the scholarship, funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation, could receive up to $10,000 per year for up to two years at JCCC, and become part of the JCCC STEM Scholars program, provided they meet all of the following criteria:

1. Demonstrate financial need, as defined for undergraduate students by the US Department of Education's FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
2. Are citizens of the US, Nationals of the US, Aliens admitted as refugees, or Aliens lawfully admitted to the US as permanent residents.
3. Intend to enroll full-time (12 hours or more each semester) for at least one year in an Associate of Science degree program at JCCC.
4. Demonstrate academic ability or potential (shown by placement into Math 171: College Algebra or higher; placement into no more than one remedial reading or writing course; and have a GPA of 2.5 or above in previous high school and/or college coursework).

Once the JCCC Scholarship Application is completed, and the April 1 priority deadline has passed, eligible students are asked to go back into the scholarship portal to complete the STEM Application. This additional application requires submission of all essays for full consideration. Note: The essays will weigh heavily in the decision made by the selection committee. The JCCC Admissions Application, the JCCC Scholarship Application, and the FAFSA are required.

Continued eligibility for the subsequent semester requires 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment (12 or more hours). 

 

Awarded to Presenters at the Annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Poster Symposium held each Spring by the Math and Science Department's faculty members. 
 

Awarded to students in the Graphic Design program. GPA of 2.5 or higher is required. The JCCC Scholarship Application is required. Once completed students can then complete the additional application with portfolio submission for full consideration by the selection committee. 

This competitive scholarship is awarded for up to one year to students enrolled at least half time. Consideration is given to students who have a minimum JCCC GPA of 2.5 or higher and are enrolled in 6 or more credit hours in a degree-seeking program. To be further considered students will receive an email to complete an additional applicaiton, which includes submitting a written statement describing career goals and community involvement. A selection committee will review and determine the recipients. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Consideration is given to students who are elected to the JCCC Student Senate Executive Board. The Executive Board is comprised of these five positions: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Parlimentarian. The Student Senate Executive Board is elected during the Spring Semester (March/April). Executive Board members are required to:
 

• Maintain full-time enrollment (12 or more hours)
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Commit to 10 hours per week of Student Senate work.  

If all requirements are met, the amount awarded is 12 credit hours of tuition. The JCCC Scholarship Application and Admissions application are required.  

Awarded to a student that is a prior armed forces member (veteran), spouse of a veteran or dependent of a veteran. The student must be a Johnson County resident and enrolled in 12 or more credit hours at JCCC with a 2.0 GPA or higher. This is a Book/Supplies Scholarship Only - After the online thank you letter process is completed, funds are loaded onto the student's JCCC ID card for use in the JCCC bookstore for books and supplies during that semester. Awarded to students enrolled in the Sustainable Agriculture program as well as coursework at JCCC. Enrollment of 6 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.25 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Named in honor of Charles R. and Carol C. Tantillo, this scholarship is awarded to a first-generation college student that is seeking a postsecondary education. The recipient, a Kansas resident, attending immediately after graduating from high school, must be degree seeking, enrolled in 6 or more credit hours, and have a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Any returning JCCC student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  The JCCC Scholarship Application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.  

This scholarship is awarded to degree or certificate seeking students enrolled in any of the Computer Science Information Technology (CSIT) programs. Enrollment in 6 or more credit hours with a 3.0 GPA or higher is required.
Students who meet the criteria will be given the opportunity to complete a supplemental application during the application timeframe.  A selection committee will review all information after the due date and select the recipients.  The JCCC Scholarship Application is required.  Scholarship deadline is June 1.

 

Awarded to a student that is currently enrolled in or has successfully completed a course in Communications (SPD or COMS) at JCCC and enrolled to study abroad through JCCC. The student must complete a written application, which can be found in the International Education/Study Abroad office.  A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Awarded to first or second generation college students or students who graduated from high school a minimum of 6 years ago or students who have completed a GED at Johnson County Community College. Enrollment in 9 credit hours per semester and a 3.0 GPA are required. Can be renewable for a 2nd year if student continues to meet above criteria. 

Consideration will be given to students enrolled in JCCC's Career and Technical Education classes, with a preference for those students who expressed the desire to graduate or receive a certificate.  Enrollment in at least 6 credit hours and a GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. The JCCC Scholarship application, FAFSA, and JCCC admissions application are required.

Awarded to students enrolled in a JCCC construction-related program resulting in an associate's degree or certification. Enrollment of at least 9 hours or more and a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Prior to graduation, Recipients agree to contact the KC Home Builders Association about potential employment opportunities offered by their members. 
 

Recipient must be a degree-seeking student in accounting who has completed at least 15 credit hours with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Must have enrollment of 12 or more hours. JCCC general scholarship application the JCCC admission application and the FAFSA are required. Preference is given to applicants who are non- traditional students and to those who re-apply each academic year if they remain in good standing.

Consideration will first be given to JCCC students working toward a Construction Management associate degree/certificate, or taking construction management courses that transfer on to a four-year college or university program. Graduating high school seniors, new or continuing JCCC students who are enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher are eligible. Recipients will be selected on the basis of both need and merit.  The JCCC scholarship application, and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are required.  

 

Awarded to a 2nd year student (with a minimum of 24 hours completed) enrolled in the Automotive Technology program. Enrollment of 6 or more credit hours and a GPA of 2.5 or higher is required.  The JCCC general scholarship application, JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to college sophomores and juniors for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to Nation American nations or to the Environment/Sustainability.

Military Veterans with current enrollment at least 6 credit hours, a JCCC GPA of 2.0 of higher after 12 hours of study have been completed is required. The JCCC Scholarship application, admissions application and FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required. A letter of recommendation from a counselor, staff member, or faculty member, and a narrative of personal, educational, and professional goals not to exceed 300 words is also required. All information must be included at the time of submission to the Academic Counseling Office. 

This scholarship is for outreach activities performed by Veteran Services Student Interns. This scholarship has been established to encourage professional developement and to reward activities that will increase veteran and military-affiliated student engagement on campus. Scholarship recipients must meet the following metrics: participation in one on-campus leadership opportunity per semester; perform weekly outreach communication activities as assigned; participate in Veteran Services-sponsored outreach events. This scholarship is awarded upon successful completion of the semester awarded, as well as required metrics.

Awarded to students who are Missouri residents, enrolled in 6 or more credit hours with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The scholarship pays towards tuition only with no excess cash to the student. The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admissions application, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required. 

Scholarships are available to second year students and are based on talent audtions or portfolio review and student's willingness to contribute to theatrical productions. The student must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours at JCCC and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. The JCCC scholarship application and admissions application are required. 

Consideration when awarding is given first to employees of Overland Park Regional Medical Center who have been accepted and are enrolled in the ADN Nursing program. A 2.0 GPA or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application, the JCCC admissions application and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are required.

Consideration when awarding will be given first to a student who is at least 40 years old, accepted and enrolled in the ADN Nursing program. Secondary consideration will be to any nursing student. A GPA of 2.0 or higher is required. The JCCC scholarship application and the JCCC admissions application are required.

Consideration is given to students seeking a degree in Math and/or Math education, currently enrolled in a JCCC math course, then successfully complete that course and enroll in another math course in the subsequent semester. The average of GPA grades in Math should be 3.0 or higher. The JCCC Scholarship Application, and the FAFSA are required.
